OIG FY 2016 - FY 2017 Work Plan OIG Seal

OIG has posted its Work Plan for FY 2016–2017, which describes the audits, inspections, evaluations, and investigative activities planned in support of our vision, mission, and strategic goals and objectives. This work plan is an evergreen document, which will be revised and updated, as necessary, to ensure that OIG oversight operations remain relevant, timely, and responsive to the evolving demands of our global oversight mission.

Second LIG-OCO Congressional Report for Operation Inherent Resolve LIG OCO OIR 2

This is the second Lead Inspector General (Lead IG) quarterly report to Congress on the Overseas Contingency Operation (OCO) known as Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR). Pursuant to section 8L of the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, the Lead IG agencies overseeing the Department of Defense, Department of State, and U.S. Agency for International Development continue their oversight responsibilities for the OCO in support of the U.S. strategy to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

U.S. Government agencies have reported more than $1.7 billion in obligations toward Ebola response, recovery, and preparedness efforts with an international nexus.

The Offices of Inspector General (OIGs) for the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and Department of State (DOS) collaborate to provide independent and comprehensive oversight of related U.S. Government funds, activities, and programs.
